When you create an account, our authentication provider Clerk collects your email address and name. We use this to identify your account and communicate with you about your invites.

Invite Content

When you create a wedding invite, you provide content including:

• •Event details (ceremony names, timings, dress codes)
• •Photos you upload (couple photos, gallery images)
• •Video and music URLs
• •Custom taglines and messages

Usage Data

We collect anonymised usage data including page view counts on invite pages, device type, and browser information through Vercel's hosting infrastructure. This helps us understand how guests interact with invites and improve the service.

Payment Information

Payments are processed entirely by Razorpay. We do not store your credit card number, UPI ID, or bank account details. We only receive a payment confirmation reference from Razorpay to verify your purchase.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• •Provide the service — render your invite page with your content
• •Send confirmation emails when your invite is published
• •Process payments and prevent fraud
• •Improve the product based on anonymised usage patterns
• •Respond to your support requests
• •Comply with legal obligations under Indian law

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely across the following services:

• •Supabase — invite data, event details, and account references (PostgreSQL database with row-level security)
• •Cloudinary — uploaded photos and images (CDN with secure server-side uploads)

All data is stored in secure cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Database access is restricted through row-level security policies ensuring users can only access their own data.

4. Third-Party Services

We rely on the following third-party services to operate Wedding Story Invites. Each has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data:

• •Razorpay — payment processing (PCI DSS compliant)
• •Cloudinary — image storage and CDN delivery
• •Resend — transactional email delivery
• •Vercel — web hosting and edge delivery
• •Sentry — error monitoring (no personal data sent)

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party. We share data only with the service providers listed above, solely for the purpose of operating the platform. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights.

6. Guest Data

Invite pages are publicly accessible to anyone with the link. Guests do not need to create an account to view an invite. We track page view counts anonymously (no personal guest information is collected). Invite pages are excluded from search engine indexing to protect the privacy of the couple and their guests.

7. Data Retention

• •Active accounts: Your data is retained as long as your account is active.
• •Deleted invites: When you delete an invite, the link stops working immediately. The data and all associated photos are permanently purged from our systems after 30 days.
• •Account deletion: If you delete your account, all invites and data are deleted following the same 30-day purge cycle.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• •Access your data — request a copy of all personal data we hold about you
• •Correct your data — edit your invite content at any time through the dashboard
• •Delete your data — delete invites or your entire account from the dashboard
• •Export your data — request a data export by contacting us

9. Cookies

Wedding Story Invites uses only essential cookies required for authentication (managed by Clerk). These cookies maintain your login session and are necessary for the service to function. We do not use any advertising, tracking, or analytics cookies. No cookie consent banner is needed as we only use strictly necessary cookies.

10. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including:

• •All data transmitted over HTTPS with TLS encryption
• •Row-level security (RLS) on our database ensuring users can only access their own invites
• •Server-side image uploads — Cloudinary credentials never reach your browser
• •Payment processing handled entirely by PCI DSS compliant Razorpay
• •Admin access restricted to a single verified account

While we strive to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children's Privacy

Wedding Story Invites is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child under 18 has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you via the email address associated with your account. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision. Your continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
